Rehab Areas

Although we have many resident animals, some animals will not have the pleasure of calling CMA home. Fortunately, their injuries or illnesses are treatable and do not prevent them from returning to life in the wild. Therefore, there are many areas behind the scenes for our animals continuing their rehabilitation while on the road to release.

Our medical laboratory is stocked with antibiotics, ointments and other medical supplies to treat any animal that swims through our doors. Luxurious pools await turtles that may have been hit by boats, caught in fishing line, or suffer from fibropapilloma tumors. A stranding pool large enough for a small whale awaits any dolphin that washes ashore our beaches. You will find a majority of our critical animal care work going on in these areas: treating these animals so that one day they can return to life in the wild, healthier and a little heavier than when they arrived.
